PCW goes through ownership and name changes

PCW Becomes Pacific Championship Wrestling, Goes Through Significant Changes

Pasadena, CA – PCW, formerly known as Pacific Coast Wrestling, will now
be known as Pacific Championship Wrestling. On June 7, 2003, PCW ran its
final show under the “Coast” banner and parted ways with former
owner Sean Vance (aka Vance Hartman).

As it does quite often these days in the wrestling business, art often
imitates life. Top PCW “brass,” including founder Pete Villano
and booker Dave “Mace” Geck, felt it was time for a change. There
were many creative differences in the company and, as even Aaron Aguilera
pointed out, “too many chiefs and not enough Indians,” that were
hampering on any success for this just-over-one year old company.

Pacific Championship Wrestling was the original vision of PCW founder Pete
Villano. The company feels that a lot of people were unaware of who was
“really in charge” and most people were not even aware than Sean
Vance had any input into the company whatsoever. It was felt by a majority
of PCW staff that Vance’s constant laziness of control lead to lackluster
venues, shows, and ultimately loss of money for the company.

It is the solitary goal and commitment to the fans that Pacific Championship
Wrestling spawns a new era in Southern California independent wrestling.
PCW wants the fans to witness the change, witness the growth, and witness
the success of a new breed of wrestling and entertainment.

PCW will continue to bring the fans top pro-wrestling entertainment and
continue its “Philly Connection” and “Proctor Championship
Wrestling” storylines that have garnered the company much deserved
attention over the past few months. PCW is also working on other storylines
and angles that will keep fans interested. There are also plans for “The
Jason Bennett Show,” a Piper’s Pit-esque monologue that would feature
interviews and culmination of storylines at each PCW event.

PCW will also bring pro-wrestling back to the San Gabriel Valley with its
new home at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall in Altadena, CA. The first
show is slated for July 19th at 3:00pm with the following card:

PCW Championship
The Messiah (c) vs. Brawlin’ Bo Cooper

PCW Tag Team Championship
Damage Inc. (Preston Scott & The Matrix) w/ Jason Bennett
vs.
The Aerial Express (Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky)

PCW MAXimum Championship
“The Technical Wizard” Joey Ryan vs. ??? vs. ???

#1 Contender For The PCW Championship
“New Age Punisher” B-Boy vs. Frankie “The Future” Kazarian

Lil Cholo vs Dante

There will also be more matches to be announced.

Pacific Championship Wrestling hopes that you join their “Reinvention”
on July 19th at 3pm. The Eagles Hall is located at 455 East Woodbury Rd.
in Altadena, CA. If you’re a longtime fan, you will continue to receive
the great entertainment that you’re used to. If you’re someone whose always
wanted to check out PCW, now is the chance. It is such irony that PCW has
found a new home at a venue called the Eagles Hall, as the company will
soar with the great confidence and pride of an eagle.
